Application
was made to erect a hut by the
Ski Club of Victoria, and they had all the materials
ready for its construction. The application was rejected, so the
material was left. Cecil
Dobson and Alfred Robins applied for a hut to be built at this
location as a refuge hut. The application was approved on the
condition that there were trustees appointed to care take the
hut. They
transported the 'pile' of material that had been left by the Ski Club
of Victoria to the site on their backs, including the bath. The hut
had a 'donkey' hot water system and was feed by a piped line,
providing fresh running water Cecil
